Sam Alan is an interdisciplinary artist and self-proclaimed "lover of all trades" living in Denver, CO. They received their BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
While they primarily consider themself a sculptor, their artistic practice takes multiple forms, including (but not limited to) oil painting, fiber arts, circuitbending, electronic music, and game development. Their work often seeks to provoke sensations of nostalgia and melancholy, in an attempt to acknowledge and work with as opposed to against the natural decay of memories each time they are recalled.
In their free time, Sam enjoys gardening, adventuring with their spouse, rollerskating, eating delicious meals, and trying new things.
